Who we are
Welcome to Battle Mountain Community Church! BMCC exists to seek the lost and feed the found.
We are in the pre-launch phase of starting a non-denominational church in the Little Snake River Valley of Southern Wyoming. We are holding monthly Vision and Prayer Meetings while building a launch team.
What is important to us
Prayer - Seeking God’s will and comfort in all situations
Love - We strive to love people where they are, just as Jesus loves them.
Truth - We strive to teach a relevant message based on Biblical truth
Discipleship - We strive to teach and empower people to seek the lost and be the hands and feet of Jesus
Generational - To impact multiple generations with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ
our pastor
Josh Taylor was born and raised in Eastern Washington and moved to Baggs as a senior, where he finished high school. He made lifelong friends there, and the people of the Valley have always had a special place in his heart. Eventually, he moved to Southwestern Nebraska, where his parents were farming. That is where he met his wife Carla and their twin sons, Nathan and Clifton. They were married in December 2006, and Josh adopted the twins in 2008 shortly after Ryan was born. Lane followed in 2010.
Over the years, Josh has driven many miles in the seat of a truck hauling all sorts of things. He has farmed, run trains, and been a chemical applicator. Most recently, he has been handling the hay farming side of a ranch in Goshen County, Wyoming, alongside his brother Jason, who manages the cattle. He has always loved the Lord, and he has a passion for finding “lost souls.” Josh’s greatest desire is to see you all in Heaven someday.
Josh and Carla are moving to the Valley in August of 2025, bringing with them Ryan and Lane, who will be attending LSRV Schools. Josh will be employed full time outside of the church for the time being. Carla will continue her bookkeeping business and will likely pick up some accounting work locally. Ryan and Lane will be playing football. You will see the Taylors around as they get involved in community activities.
